Vicki Grant’s novels have been translated into twenty languages, won The Red Maple, The Arthur Ellis and Young Canada Reads and been shortlisted for The Edgar, CLA Children’s Book of the Year and many Forest of Reading awards. Her MG novel, A Green Velvet Secret was named a White Raven Notable Book by The International Youth Library. Death by Whoopee Cushion -- a middle-grade mystery about science, murder and flatulence – was chosen as a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard selection and has been nominated for the 2026 Silver Birch Award. In a review about her first adult mystery These Are The Fireworks, the Globe and Mail said, “it’s a winner. (Grant) has a gift for character-building and it pairs brilliantly with the twisty plot.”
